ComfortService is a company that builds management software for the hospitality sector. We develop software for restaurants, hotels and beach clubs — both as ready-to-use general products and made to measure for a single business — and we build websites integrated with that software, along with online presence and branding work. Everything is built against one test: does it bring comfort to the everyday job?
ComfortService is the company, ComforTables is one of its products. ComfortService designs and develops the software; ComforTables is the one for restaurants, currently in public beta. In the same way ComfortRooms is the hotel product, ComfortBeach the one for beach clubs, and ComfortDesign the websites and branding service.
We work from Milan, Bologna, Mantua and Pesaro. Our products are web services, so we support businesses anywhere in Italy without needing to be in the same place; when it helps, though, we come and visit, because watching how a venue actually works is worth more than ten video calls.
Because it is the test we use to decide what to build. Software that adds work instead of removing it has failed, however many features it has. When we assess a feature we ask whether it makes the day easier for someone using it mid-service: if the answer is no, we do not build it.
We make five. ComforTables for restaurants (public beta available), ComfortRooms for hotels (in development), ComfortBeach for beach clubs (in development), ComfortDesign for websites and branding (available) and WorKey for people and services in the sector (in preparation). Alongside these, custom development is available now for any sector.
Yes, ComforTables is available in public beta and can be used today. The core features — floor map, bookings gathered from every channel, orders sent to the kitchen — are complete and in real use in venues.
It means the product is open to everyone and working, but still evolving. The core features are complete and used daily in real venues; some parts keep changing and we fix things based on what users report. We say so explicitly rather than presenting it as finished: whoever joins at this stage shapes what it becomes.
We do not have a date we are willing to promise. ComfortRooms is in development and we would rather not announce a month and then move it. If you run a property and need something now, though, you do not have to wait: we can build a version for your hotel today.
Yes, it is called ComfortBeach and it is in development. It handles the umbrella map, daily bookings and season passes, pricing by row and period, and the link to the bar. It is not open to the public yet, but for a club preparing its season we can build a dedicated version right away.
No: those are the sectors we build general products for, but we develop custom software for other businesses too. If your sector is not on the list, the route is a dedicated build: it starts with a request and we work out together what is genuinely needed.
Yes, they share the same foundation and can talk to each other. A property with both a hotel and a restaurant does not run two separate systems; a beach club with a kitchen does not split beach and food service across two programs. A website built with ComfortDesign also reads its data from the software rather than being updated separately.
It means software built around the way you work, rather than the other way round. We start from how you work today, including what does not work, and build a tool that respects your real constraints — legal, organisational, habitual — instead of asking you to change them so the work fits inside a standard product.
By sending a request through ComfortService, using the form in the contact section. No technical specification is needed: a few lines describing the business and the point where the work jams is enough. We reply to the address you leave, and from there we work out whether and what is worth building.
When using a standard product would mean changing the way you work, and that way of working is part of why you succeed. If your business does resemble many others, the general product costs less, is ready sooner and is continuously maintained: in that case we will tell you so, even though it means selling you less.
Yes. Custom development is not limited to the sectors where we have a general product: if your business has specific needs, the path is the same. The difference is that we start from the shared foundation behind our products, so nothing is built entirely from scratch and timelines stay reasonable.
We do not publish a single price list, because cost depends on the product, the size of the business and whether it is a general or a custom version. Getting a real number takes a ten-minute conversation about how you work: write to us and we will give you a sensible figure instead of a "from" price that means nothing.
Write to us for the current beta terms: since it is an evolving stage, we would rather tell you directly and accurately than leave conditions on a page that may no longer hold. The beta is accessible and usable now either way.
It depends on scope, but we never start from zero: custom projects sit on the same foundation as our general products, so timelines are shorter than an entirely new build. In the first conversation we give you an honest estimate, and we show you something working early rather than disappearing for months.
We assess data migration case by case, because it depends on what exists and in what shape. It is never a surprise after the fact: whatever is needed to get started, we tell you up front along with everything else.
On servers in the European Union, over encrypted connections. Our products are web services and the data sits on infrastructure operated within Europe, and therefore under the GDPR.
You do. We process it to run the service for you: we do not sell it, we do not pass it to third parties, and we do not use it for anything unrelated to the service we provide you.
It stays yours and we export it for you. If you decide to go elsewhere we hand it over in a readable format: holding someone's data hostage to make switching hard strikes us as simply dishonest.
We look after the venues using our software directly, with no call centre layers in between. We are a small operation and that is an advantage: when you write, someone who knows the product answers. We agree coverage and response times with you before you start.
Very little, and that is deliberate. Software that needs a course before it can be used on the floor has been designed wrong. We do accompany the first few days, which is when the real questions surface, and we stay reachable afterwards.
Yes, that is the ComfortDesign service, and it includes logo and brand identity too. The advantage of doing both together is integration: the site reads menus, hours and availability from the software, so it stays current without being updated. We also build websites for businesses that do not use our software.
